EFLM survey

Dear Members, in 2019, an EFLM survey was conducted on the state of the art in creatinine, cystatin C and glomerular filtration rate measurement, to which many responses were received.

The results were very interesting, but many participants were in transition from one formula to another, wanting to change the measurement of creatinine, introduce cystatin C or start measuring iohexol. In addition, there have been some recent changes, such as the "race-free" CKD-EPI equation for estimating GFR.

Therefore, the EFLM Task Group on Chronic Kidney Disease has considered it important to update and evaluate the evolution of laboratory medicine in relation to these tests over a 3-year period and to prepare this new survey. This survey will also be useful to improve the quality of the paper produced by the EFLM TG-CKD.

Click here to access the survey. The deadline for completing the survey is 15 October 2022.
