Correction of Final report for external quality control 1-2014

Dear colleagues,

Because of technical difficulties in results of external quality control 1-2014 in Final report, regarding calculation of percentage required for result acceptance, we made new, corrected documents dated August 8th 2014, and they are available at web interface.

We are sorry for the inconvenience and thank participants for alerting us to this error. 

We have received a few questions regarding results display in module 6 – urine analysis with test strip, so we use this oppurtunity to clarify:

In quality control for module 6, urine analyses were done with only one method – test strip. Different manufacturers of test strips are not considered as different methods. With that in mind, calculation of percentage required for result acceptance is not based on a specific test strip method used. Results are quantitative and processed as such. Interlaboratory comparability can be assessed from processed data and it contains acceptable results.
