IFCC document "Shaping the Future of Laboratory Medicine"

At the EFLM General Assembly in Milan in May 2013, IFCC Secretary S. Bernardini presented the IFCC document „Shaping the Future of Laboratory Medicine", in which it is proposed that „IFCC membership no longer be restricted to one society per country, instead any organisation with an interest in Laboratory Medicine be eligible to join IFCC and this right could be extended to a range of companies form IVD to informatics to pharmaceutical" (Shaping the future of Laboratory Medicine).

The EFLM Executive Bord does not accept this decision, and in order to achieve a final opinion, all EFLM National Societies were asked for their opinion (EFLM EB view on IFCC Structural Changes).

CSMBLM Main Board has unanimously supported the EFLM Board view.
