5th Central-Eastern European Congress on cell-Free Nucleic Acid in Debrecen on 21st-22nd of June 2018

Dear all,

We invite you to join us at 5th Central-Eastern European Congress on cell-Free Nucleic Acid in Debrecen on 21st-22nd of June 2018. Previous congresses focused on research and application of cell-Free Nucleic Acids in prenatal screening and diagnosis of genetic diseases that has already a routine procedure in non-invasive prenatal testing (NIPT). Now there is an interest in using cell free nucleic acids (cfNA) from liquid bioptates in the field of oncology and diagnosis and treatment of cardiovascular disease, which we are focusing on at this year’s congress. The role of encapsulation of microparticle cfNAs is a new research area, since the role of this particles is still unknown. The possibility of horizontal gene transfer (genometastasis) has scientists puzzled. At this year’s congress a few world experts will share their views on this.

Srdjan Djurovic at 9th HDMBLM Congress

Dear all,

Not many areas of medicine are so mysterious and diagnostically challenging as neuropsychiatric conditions. Prof. dr.sc. Srdjan Djuranovic will present a project of his Psychiatric Molecular Genetics Group in which he uses induced pluripotent stem cells as an in-vitro model for identification of cell and molecular markers linked to severe psychiatric disorders.

Prof.dr.sc. Srdjan Djurovic got his PhD at Zagrebu University, as well as Grazu University. He is the head of reaserch group and a professor at University of Oslo and Bergen (norway), and works at University Hospital in Oslo - Ullevål. He published over 220 articles int he field of neuropsychiatric genetics, stem cells, funcional genomics and biobanking.

Ana-Maria Šimundić at 9th HDMBLM Congress

In the final lecture of the Congress we turn to the future with prof.dr.sc. Ana-Maria Šimundić, EFLM vice president, who encourages us to look outside the box. In the era od countless technological achievements in micro- and nano-medicine, automation, new informatic solutions, biobanking, larege dana analyses, new methods in molecular biology and point-of-care testing, tje imperative for usi s to i mprove patient outcomes.
