New EFLM webinar „The order of draw“

We would like to invite you to the EFLM webinar „The order of draw“ to be held on 15th of May 2018 at 6 PM. The speaker will be dr. Michael Cornes (UK) who is Chair of the UK Preanalytics Working Group and member of the EFLM Working Group for the Preanalytical Phase.

Dr. Cornes will present the evidence for and against the need to follow an order of draw during phlebotomy recommended by national and international (WHO, CLSI) quidelines.

EFLM is happy to remind you that the attendance to the webinars is free of charge and that the recording of the lectures will be available afterwards on at the EFLM e-learning platform for those unable to attend.

New issue of eJIFCC

We remind you that, on 18-19th June 2018, the 2nd EFLM Strategic Conference will be organised in Mannheim (Germany). The Conference has a very appealing and intriguing title: "The end of Laboratory Medicine as we know it? Handling disruption of Laboratory Medicine in digital health" and it will consider the impact that the on-going digitalization of technologies and a digitalized society will have on the medical laboratory in future health care.

7th Symposium of pharmacy and medical biochemistry students (FARMEBS 2018)

We invite you to participate in 7th Symposium of pharmacy and medical biochemistry students (FARMEBS 2018) that will take place at University of Zagreb Faculty Pharmacy and Biochemistry, at 2nd of June 2018.
FARMEBS 2018 will be dedicated to all aspects of drug research - design and synthesis, action mechanisms, application, quality control and biomarkers in diagnostics.
It is a great honor to announce a plenary lecture on sterol synthesis disorder by Željka Korade from University of Nebraska, USA, a professor of pediatric medicine, biochemistry and molecular biology, and one of the most renowned experts in the research of hereditary metabolic disorders.
We invite all graduate and postgraduate students to join as active listeners or presenters of their dissertations and papers in the form of oral or poster presentations. Most successful presentations will receive valuable prizes.
